BURLINGAME, CA, (April 7, 2010) Tangent Inc., today announced the Medix T22, a medical grade, point-of-care terminal
with a sharp and clear 22-inch wide-screen TFD display.
Medix T22 is a secure, practical healthcare terminal for patients and practitioners.
The Medix T22 is UL60601-1 approved for patient safety and available with an optional touch screen panel that is IP65 rated for dust-free and water-proof operation so it can be sprayed and wiped down without the risk of damage. It is also available with spill resistant peripherals and an array of medical accessories.
The protective, plastic case contains an anti-microbial additive that fights surface bacteria and stops it from spreading, multiplying or surviving.
Ultra thin (2.8 inches), the Media T22 has a detachable base for VESA mounting and is highly energy efficient at 34 watts.
The new terminal also features a fanless design, which makes it ideal for healthcare environments where noise must be minimal.
Storage ranges from 2GB to 16GB Flash, 32/64MB SSD or 2.5" HDD. SSD and the fanless operation make this an ideal healthcare solution because there are no movable parts, thus increasing reliability and performance.
Its high resolution 22-inch widescreen display provides a clear view of applications, which run on a power-saving yet powerful 1.5GHz ViaC7 processor. Memory is 1GB DDR2.
The Media T22 comes with two USB 2.0 ports, one serial port, one RJ45 port, and audio ports.
Optional 802.11 wireless provides the ultimate flexibility for installation anywhere. It s ideal for mobile solutions and medical carts.
Besides UL60601-1 certification, the Medix 22T is also FCC Class B, CE, C-Tick and RoHS compliant.
