Tangent Announces ePC, an Ultra-mini Notebook For Only $299!
BURLINGAME, CA, (February 11, 2008) - Tangent Inc. today announced it has begun selling the ePC, an ultra-mini notebook for $299, through a strategic agreement with ASUS Intl., a leading manufacturer worldwide of notebook computers.
The ultra-portable ePC weighs only two pounds and has a seven inch screen size.
The ePC comes in a variety of eye-catching colors, including pearl white, black, sky blue, lush green, and blush pink. Four models are available at prices ranging from $299 to $499 with up to 8GB of solid state disk flash storage and 1GB DDR2 memory. The top models include a web cam, mouse and carrying case.
The ePC makes it easy to share photos with friends and family, shop the web on wireless, and play, relax, and entertain on the go with shock-proof protection against bumps and bruises thanks to a solid state flash disk drive. Another feature, “Talk to Me,” is a voice command function that lets you verbally launch applications, surf the net, and even power-off.
