In Compliance with regulations established under California SB 20, Tangent will add a State-mandated fee, referred to as Electronic Waste Recycling Fee, to certain electronic products shipped directly from Tangent to California (excluding resellers), beginning January 1, 2005

Under current laws and regulations of California SB 20, an Electronic Waste Recycling Fee will be added to following products:

  • All notebook computers
  • All CRT monitors
  • All LCD monitors
The following fees will be assessed on each applicable unit in any order for all orders placed on or after January 1, 2005.
  • $6 per device with a screen size greater than 4" and less than 15"
  • $8 per device with a screen size greater than 15" and less than 35"
  • $10 per device with a screen size larger than 35"

Resellers may be required to assess the Electronic Waste Recycling Fee at the point of all California sales.
