Tangent Announces VITA 8000S, a Powerful, High-Speed, Space Saving All-in-One LCD PC for Healthcare and Government Markets
Burlingame, CA — June 19, 2006 - Tangent, a leading provider of technology solutions for healthcare, education and government markets, today announced the VITA 8000S, an all-in-one design that integrates the PC and LCD panel into a powerful, space-saving solution, featuring dual core processing, high-quality video, and WLAN support.

VITA 8000S is 3.5 inches thick and weighs only 21 pounds. It combines the PC and a 17-inch LCD display inside a slim, attractive, all-in-one chassis that fits ergonomically in any healthcare office, hospital room, or field environment. It is ideal for computer carts and wall mounting. VITA has numerous wall-mount options, including a vertical lift mount.

"The VITA 8000S was designed for healthcare, homeland security, the military or any environment that requires inexpensive, high-speed, space saving computers," said Mike Zabaneh, Tangent Vice President of Marketing. "VITA 8000S offers the fastest processors and best video in the VITA line."

Its features include an Intel Celeron D, Pentium 4, or Pentium D processor supporting dual core processing, 802.11b, g WLAN support (with embedded antenna), on-board Intel Gbit LAN, and high-quality video with integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics accelerator. The system can be easily expanded with four USB 2.0 ports, two PCMCIA Type II slots or one PCMCIA Type III slot, slim ODD and FDD options, as well as legacy PS/2, serial, and parallel ports.

The power-saving VITA 8000S has less than half the power consumption of a typical PC -CRT combo. The display has a tilt range from -5 to +25 degrees and a swivel range of 180 degrees for viewing comfort and ergonomic flexibility.

It also has built-in speakers, 512K of DDR SDRAM (expandable to 2GB) and up to 120GB Ultra ATA hard drive.

VITA is pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows XP Pro. Tangent backs VITA with a one-year parts and labor warranty and one-year optional on-site service. It is available direct from Tangent at www.tangent.com. Suggested retail is $1,495.
